What’s happening this spring at Golden Stage Inn Bed & Breakfast….
1. Foodies Getaway
Back by popular demand, our Foodies Getaway is a huge hit for anyone – locavores, snackers, fine diners, and vacationers. The Foodies Getaway Package includes a two nights’ stay at the Inn, a $50 gift certificate to a local farm-to-table restaurant, and a foodie’s lunch bag overflowing with Vermont snacks and treats. Can you say…Yum?!
2. Road Trip!
We’re really excited about our brand new Road Trip Package for 2014. We’ve put together a Golden Stage Inn Road Trip Bag overflowing with fun treats for your spring break vacation. Just a few of the surprises inside include: a mix CD of road trip hits, tons of coupons and discounts to local stores and restaurants, yummy snacks and VT bumper stickers. In addition, you can participate in contests to win a gas card and a free night’s stay at the Inn! Book now or call the Inn at (802) 226-7744 for more information.
3. Homemade Indian Cuisine
We’re partnering with VT cooks to create something new. Local foods are not just featured in breakfast any more, but also in two special dinner events in June. Our first event on June 7th is an evening of Homemade Indian Cuisine. Lini Mazumdar of Londonderry, VT has twice won the Taste of Vermont Amateur Chef Competition. She caters, teaches cooking classes, helps her family run Anajli Farm, and has her own business, Lotus Moon Medicinals. Enjoy a BYOB cocktail hour with Indian snacks at 6 pm, followed by a healthy and delicious meal complete with rice, vegetable curry, butter chicken, raita, and daal. Pop your head into Golden Stage Inn’s open kitchen to meet Lini in person!
The Vermont Farm to Table Dinner will be cooked by Nick Matush of Springfield, VT on June 21st. Nick is passionate about using local, humane and organic ingredients in his meals. Not only will your meal be delicious and fresh – it will be gorgeous to look at! Join us for hors d’oeuvres at 6pm with BYOB cocktail hour. Sit down to a three course meal followed by dessert. You won’t be disappointed! Pair your meal with a stay at the Golden Stage Inn, or with any of our springtime packages.
5. Girls & Guns Weekend
Have an adventure in Vermont – learn how to shoot pistols, rifles, shotguns and a bow & arrow! Of course, safety training is a must, too. “Women on the Range” takes place at the Ludlow Community Center in Ludlow, VT and is put on by the Black River Valley Rod & Gun Club. This is just a 10 minute drive from our bed and breakfast, so we’ve put together a package that includes one admission to this weekend long course. The course starts on May 30th and runs through June 1st. Make your reservation online or call the Inn at 802 226 7744.
